SITE PAGE: Encompasses a grouping of and links to multiple Home Pages.
The concept of a Site in Personal Pro essentially refers to a grouping of Home Pages, but the term Site can be viewed from several perspectives. It can mean:
- A Grouping of Home Pages.
- A Web Page at the Site Level.
- A Site File (for the Access database version).
Home Page Definition
HOME PAGE: The highest level of an application within a Site Page.
- Links to the Navigation Bar only and to only one Navigation Bar.
- Is the "owner" of all lower level pages and objects.
Navigation Bar Definition
NAVIGATION BAR: An object that contains the highest level menu.
- The Links may be designated at a Topic level or at a Subtopic level.
- Appears on the Home Page and may appear on other page types, depending on the Template chosen.
References Page Definition
REFERENCES PAGE: As a Navigation Bar link, contains further links.
- Links to other References Pages, Interview Pages, Solution Pages, Checklist Pages, Multimedia Windows, Document Links, and/or Collection Pages.
Interview Page Definition
INTERVIEW PAGE: Contains Questions, their Responses, and Rules.
- All Question-and-Response combinations and Rules are generated into Interview Pages.
- May be thought of as a set of Questions-and-Responses and Rules.
Solution Page Definition
SOLUTION PAGE: Contains a summary of a solution and links.
- Links to Interview Pages, other Solution Pages, Checklist Pages, Text Phrases, Collection Pages, Multimedia Windows, and Document Links.
Checklist Page Definition
CHECKLIST PAGE: Contains links to one or more Pages or Objects in a checklist format.
- Typically links to Checklist Elements and Text Phrases. May also link to the Home Page, References Pages, Interview Pages, and Solution Pages.
- Displays the description text of the Checklist Elements.
- Displays the description text of the Text Phrases. If the description text is blank, then displays the Name of the Text Phrase.
- Text Phrase links are usually designated at the Heading level and other links at the Detail level.
Checklist Element Definition
CHECKLIST ELEMENT: An object containing description text and a link.
- Links to one Multimedia Window, Document Link, or to a Collection Page.
Text Phrase Definition
TEXT PHRASE: An object containing text and no links.
- If its Description field does not contain any text, its Name appears as the Text Phrase on any Page that has linked-to it.
- If the Description contains text, the Description appears as the Text Phrase on any Page that has linked-to it.
- Does not link to other Pages or Objects.
- Typically used as non-linking Topics on the Navigation Bar, as Headings on References Pages, and as Headings on Checklist Pages.
- Can be changed into another type of Page or Object by selecting the "Change to Another Page/Object Type" on the File menu or on the Right-Click menu.
Question Definition
QUESTION: For a Rule condition, an object containing the question text.
- Additionally contains its optional explanation text.
- Links to all possible Responses to the question.
Response Definition
RESPONSE: An object whose Name contains the text of one Response to a Question.
- Linked-to by Questions.
Rule Definition
RULE: An object that contains one or more Rule conditions (each condition consists of one Question-and-Response combination) and one link.
- Links to an Interview Page, Solution Page, Checklist Page, Multimedia Window, Document Link, or Collection Page.
Collection Page Definition
COLLECTION PAGE: A set of multiple Multimedia Windows or Document Links.
- Displays their related text, and a link to each.
Multimedia Window Definition
MULTIMEDIA WINDOW: A page that displays any of the following as a secondary window.
TEXT WINDOW: A Multimedia Window that displays text only.
VIDEO WINDOW: A Multimedia Window that plays a video and displays its text.
SOUND WINDOW: A Multimedia Window that plays a sound and displays its text.
IMAGE WINDOW: A Multimedia Window that displays a still image or an animation and its text.
Document Link Definition
DOCUMENT LINK: An object that is a link only.
- Links to a pre-existing document, Web page, or application.
